Water Quality Services

Round Mountain conducts 3-fold studies for water quality.  Often, in order to more fully determine the quality of surface waters, it is necessary to investigate more than water chemistry.

1. Water - We determine water chemistry parameters (according to those established by project need), using various meters in the field and laboratory analysis on collected samples. 
2. Aquatic Insects - Round Mountain collects macroinvertebrate samples, sorts samples in field and laboratory, and identifies insect samples to species level. 

• Fish - We conduct fish surveys within streams in proposed project area, and/or to collect baseline data on fishes present.  We collect fish, identify to the greatest extent possible in the field, and finalize identification if laboratory if necessary.  We incorporate both seines and electroshocking with our surveys in order to get the most reliable information possible.
